Knights of the Old Republic Collection outed by Amazon, GameStop listings

One of the greatest roleplaying game series ever is getting a bundle, as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Collection has been outed. The game is listed in North American Amazon.com for release on the 17th July, and will include both the original KOTOR and its sequel The Sith Lords for $19.99 USD.

The game was also spotted on a GameStop in-store upcoming title list. It's not known if there will be a European release yet, however.

While LucasArts has not confirmed the bundle, the evidence seems incontrovertible.

Did they happen to finish the second one? ^^

That's what I want dammit.

I hope they have upgraded their resolutions to 1920x1080p

That would definitely be welcome :).

Hopefully they bothered to make it windows 7 compatible. Which, by the way, should be a requirement for re-released games, bringing them up to speed with whatever the current OS release is

Damned expensive, win 7-compatible or not (which it would have to be).
Without Widescreen resolution support as Heno pointed out it would be a no-buy for me (and I doubt there will be).

I have both games, with graphics modifications and the like. Unless anything is done to actually finish the second one (which I strongly doubt) I have no reason to buy it. A great way to give the classics some more attention though.

Both games need a lot of support to function properly on modern computers, and KOTOR 2 needs to be, as many mentioned already, finished.

Personally I will wait for Baldurs gate instead, KOTOR was fun in the beginning but bored me quickly.

I bought the first one in a Steam Sale over Christmas for like £1 or something, a bargain. It#s always bothered me that the second one isn't up there though... Meh, I played them both on the Xbox anyway :P

Still dreaming of a KOTOR 3...

Dream on. "SW:TOR" was supposed to satisfy the dreams of "KotOR 3" and to a degree it does. Ultimately though, it just makes you long for the real thing.
Wish they'd release the "X-Wing" series as a bundle, updated and optimised for Win 7 and Multi core CPU's (maybe on GOG.com).

Modern CPUs can run that thing in sleep mode :)

What hurts these old games the most is mainly their resolution, compatibility can be worked around in most cases.

Oh yes, that's a hell of a mod. It's a no brainer.
