Capcom has announced Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The title will be a bundle of two coin-op arcade titles, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, both of which were the predecessors to the classic Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Marvel Super Heroes features the Infinity Gem system, which gave each fighter a new superpower when collected, while Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, introduced a 2 vs. 2 tag system, assists, and the Duo Team Attack, which would be featured in later games in the series.
Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will also introduce GGPO-enhanced online play with 8-player lobbies and spectator mode, HD graphical upgrades, dynamic challenges and replay saving.
The bundle will cost 1200 Microsoft Points/$14.99/€14.99/£11.99/AUD23.95. Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is expected to see a September 2012 release.
