Ubisoft has announced that a new fighting game based on the Spartacus series on cable network Starz will be hitting in early 2013, called Spartacus Legends.

According to the announcement, the game will be more than just fighting. "Gamers will experience primeval gladiator moments, from training inside the ludus to brutal battles in the arena, all while striving to become a legend," stated the description.

Players can play as Spartacus, Crixus or their own customized gladiator in offline and online multiplayer matches. Liam McIntyre, who plays the title role in the series, will not only have his likeness and voice in the game, but will be a technical advisor for the project as well.

Attendees at San Diego Comic Con will be able to have some hands-on time with the game as well.

A proper game of this kind would be great though.

I agree Noc but don`t get your hopes up,these sort of games have a reputation of failing even before they`re out.

Thanks, but I'll just re-qtch Seaon One and the inter-season series. Season Two was a bad joke, at least the main actor was, and I think this game will be the same. All flash & splash, no substance.
