New MechWarrior Online video shows off the Centurion

Piranha has unleashed a new mech class MechWarrior Online trailer for the Centurion, a balanced humanoid mech which serves as a good starter for new players. The Centurion features a balanced offensive and defensive default loadout, with a balanced array of weaponry as well.

I went totally over budget with legendary cause I could not decide which mech to get and now I'm out of gaming funds for the month :).
I have like 30€ left in my steam wallet and that is that.

The elite package is totally worth it though, 115$ of stuff for only 60$, you only need to decide which mech to take :).

Well they determine how much that stuff is "worth", do remember ^^

I'd still have gotten one of the cheaper packs, either 60 or 30, but I am really completely out of budget here.

They did say a mech would cost around 15$ on average and a month of premium is 10$ so that is kinda the guideline.

And they are not going to give it to people for cheaper later. So even if the prices turn out to be completely inflated (like in WoT) this is the best time to spend any money on the game. But in the end it all comes down to the budget.

Well they'll have sales for sure, that's just a given. I'm just going to have to stick to the F2P mechs really. I don't see me spending $15 on a premium mech, no sirree. Might be I'll get a premium account though, we'll see about that.

From this private conversation you guys are having I'm starting to see that there might be an awful imbalance for players who do not wish to spend any cash (that's me, hand raised high). It put me off "WoT" and might end up doing so here. F2P should be just that, with no-one getting the upper hand by forking out dosh that others aren't willing, or cannot afford to spend.

There's certain mechs that can only be accessed with real money purchase, but only a handful. The rest should all be available with in game currency, so I don't see any problem with that. We'll have to wait and see if they have a fair balance between premium accoutns and free accounts silver/experience wise I think. If it's as bad as WoT, I'm not going to stick around very long.

The founder premium mechs are exactly the same as the free ones with one single difference, they give you 25% extra income. It means you can grind the cash faster but you don't get any other advantage.

They are literally the exact same mechs just with a different paintjob and the 25% income bonus, no extra XP income, just credits.

You can also decide to buy the regular mechs for cash and save yourself the grind, but again you only save some time and dont get any other bonuses.

It's as fair as it can get.
