The developer of Silent Hill: Downpour is a Czech-based studio by the name of Vatra Games. Apparently its owner, Kuju, are reviewing the business amid rumours it faces possible closure.
The "new management team" at Kuju stress that "no decisions have yet been made" at this time. Silent Hill: Downpour released earlier this year but didn't make too big a splash.
Apparently Vatra were working on a God of War-style action title but it fell through. Vatra founded in 2009, an offshoot of Mafia dev 2K Czech. Silent Hill was Vatra's second game.
Their first title was digital title Rush 'n Attack: Ex Patriot. "The new management team at Kuju have been conducting a strategic review of all aspects of the business," Kuju told . "As part of this process, the on-going business activities of the Vatra studio are currently under review. However, at this stage, no decisions have yet been made."
