This August we'll be treated to yet another year of Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. It was reported by Danish site Gamers Globe that Warner Bros. would have some treats for us.

Apparently they were going to reveal two titles and that one would be a "major release", however Warner Bros. has flatly denied any such statement was made by them to anyone.

The publisher is expected to show Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition for Wii U and the new LEGO The Lord of the Rings at Gamescom, which runs August 15-19.

Warner Bros. declined to comment on rumour or speculation but did clarify that they haven't announced they'll be unveiling a "major release", contrary to what Gamers Globe reported. Fans started get excited that the new Batman instalment from the much lauded talent at Rocksteady would be unveiled.

Sounds like this "major release" wasn't ready for exhibition just yet, rather than not existing. Perhaps, if a new "Batman" IP the timing was wrong after the Colorado cinema shooting. Perhaps....
When will Publishers understand that gamers can see through the thinly veiled fibbing these CEO's think they can get away with?

When we start voting with our wallets hero, that`s the only thing they care about.Case in point, most games ported to PC after launch, they only did that because people said they would buy it.

Yup, and they/we do. No matter how many protest we are undermined by the silent masses who gleefully fork over their cash without a second thought as to what this is doing to the industry...and gamers, in the long term.
