Back in May, 2K Games announced the North American release date for XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the 9th October. The publisher has now confirmed that the European release will be on the 12th October.

Gamers who preorder XCOM: Enemy Unknown will get the Elite Soldier pack, comprised of an extra soldier modeled on the original XCOM: UFO Defense title, as well as a variety of additional armor colors and aesthetic upgrades.

The Special Edition of XCOM will be exclusive for PC, and will include an art book, a fold-out poster of the XCOM headquarters, an XCOM insignia patch which was handed out at PAX East and E3, a digital soundtrack and desktop wallpaper.
