XCOM shooter "continues to move forward", Take-Two silent on Agent

2K Games is marching forward with the first-person shooter XCOM, announces Take-Two, which is "planned for release" in fiscal year 2014. It was originally due to release in 2011.

It was then delayed to March 2012 but then underwent a 'revamp'. Meanwhile Take-Two "haven't announced anything" on Rockstar Games' supposedly PS3 exclusive title Agent.

"2K Marin continues to move forward" with XCOM said the publisher during its investor call, "which is planned for release during fiscal year 2014". It's been a long journey for the reboot.

This reimagined XCOM entry is a "tactical squad-based shooter offering a strong character-driven experience". Thankfully fans of the more traditional XCOM flavour have 2K Games and Firaxis' XCOM: Enemy Unknown releasing on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC October 12th, 2012. What of Rockstar's cold war-based Agent?

"We haven't announced anything about that title," said Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick. Agent was announced back in 2007 as an exclusive game for PlayStation 3 but very little is actually known about the project. Only last year has the first ever screenshot of Agent seen the light of day, thanks to an environment artist.

Hold on djole, unlike "Flopout 3" as our MIA member Zerk used to call that uinfortunate game, this might actually bring the series to a whole new audience. I'll reserve judgement.

You misunderstood me hero, I am very interested in this game. It's just that they moved the release date so far away is making me upset.
