Dawnguard DLC now available for PC, PS3 version not ready

Owners of the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can rejoice as the highly anticipated Dawnguard expansion is now available for download. It was released last week in a timed exclusive for Xbox 360 owners.

However, PlayStation 3 users will have to wait some more, because Bethesda doesn't feel the DLC is ready yet.

According to the official blog, "We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality."

Let us know if you're picking up the Dawnguard expansion.

It is good that they at least care about their customers, knowing that they can release the DLC, but it might affect other players badly because of certain problems.

Well, after playing with my Nord for over 180 hours just for my game to bug out and continue with failing to load my saves, I don't really feel the urge to rush back in for this "expansion".

As sexy as the crossbows may be, I'm waiting for more of these "expansions" to lure me back in. Besides, the mods ain't going nowhere for next five years at the very least.

I haven't even spent 100 hours on this game xD

I loved Oblivion, and I have nothing against Skyrim, but I think I overloaded myself with Oblivion when I explored the entire map, as well as max out my major skills. I discovered a way to max out my character quickly, though it is incredibly expensive, it is making good value of your current character levels.

I have actually lost my taste for RPG games. Don't misunderstand... I still love them, but I have been having trouble getting sucked into the games.

the expansion is nice but their are soo many bugs still in it that it might just be worth waiting out for a few patches...
