GOTY edition for me, sometime in the future...still haven't started "ME 2".

Problem is, the ending will be the same. Even with the Extended Cut, it's still a Macguffin gone Deus Ex Machina.

Actually, you're wrong. Leviathan will reportedly change the ending.

*turns around*
Tell me more.

If this actually makes the ending fit in the ME atmosphere, BioWare will have vindicated themselves in my eyes.

So, we will get an even bigger machine (the Leviathan) that destroys already enormous planet-killing machines (the Reapers).
Good God, what happened to Bioware?

Still, ME3 was a really great game and I would love to see it even more fleshed out.

Since the only logical conclusion was that Shepard got indoctrinated in most endings (all but the "Red" one), I believe they're preparing us for a big DLC that would conclude our commander's story with a bang.

Well, that's a bang. A literal one.

Leviathan I believe is the name of the Reaper, not the size.

Yes, but it's a planet-sized Reaper that kills other Reapers.
