Just Cause 2 mod adds 600 player multiplayer

A new fan-made mod has been released for Just Cause 2 which allows the game to support 600 player multiplayer, astounding for a game that was strictly a single player experience.

While the mod is still in beta, 10,000 players have registered in the mod's forum.

A video was released by the developers to show off what the mod can do.

A bit too much chaotic for me though, it would be nice if this evolves to something with a bit more structure.

Exactly. While Just Cause 2 could eventually be a really fun multiplayer title, this mod doesn't really flesh out anything yet. Still, great job modding this game.

I think the best massively multiplayer game will be Planetside 2 once it comes out, and in some respects it's similar to JC2.

It's chaotic in SP, so I cannot imagine how MP would end up. Might actually be good...time will tell.
