Assassin's Creed III won't receive a multiplayer beta

Ubisoft has confirmed it won't be hosting an Assassin's Creed III multiplayer beta.

Speaking to Xboxgamezone, Damien Kieken, game director at Ubisoft Annecy, had this to say:

"A (mulitplayer beta) is something we want to do every year because we get community feedback that helps us tune the game. It is also a good reward for the community that has followed us from the beginning."

"Doing a beta takes a lot of time; we’d need to polish a version, submit it to the platform holders and support it when it’s out. And all the time put into the beta doesn’t go into the final game. Because we wanted to push so many things into the game, we took the hard decision to favour the final game content instead of doing a beta and we believe it will be favourable in the end."

Assassin's Creed III is set for an October 30th release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Exactly. I think I heard something about that somewhere...

Co-op for a lone assassin - that makes sense O_o

Altough co-op is a nice idea hero is right,Connor is a lone assassin and it would feel weird, still it could work if it were done in specific missions.

No no no, not in the main campaign. I believe I heard something about some side missions with other characters, not with Kenway.

So what, a Lone Ranger and Tonto scenario? That would ruffle quite a few poltically correct feathers.

Sorry about linking you to the Othersite, but here (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-07-13-assassins-creed-3-co-op-mode-wolf-pack-revealed) is what I saw.
Besides, even Ezio was working with other assassins since the Brotherhood.

No problem, mate.
That stuff ain't implemented into the campaign, but rather a part of the multiplayer portion of the game.
Still, CO-OP is CO-OP.

Yay for co-op :)

As long as it's separate from the main campaign I'm always for it.

...hate Co-op....*grumble*...destroys RTS games...*mumble*....

RTS totally, but other genres are fine. As long the game is not supposed to be immersive co-op is fine.

Alien Swarm is CO-OP and is very immersive, as far as I'm concerned.
Well, if you play with serious people, of course.

In that case it can be, some people are very serous about their role playing :)
Unfortunately my buddies are not so we're always horsing around in all co-op games.

I was thinking of "Red Alert 3" specifically. Hated the Co-op in that and was happy they removed it in the EP (though it was too late by then).

As far as i'm concerned it wasn't co-op that ruined RA3, it wasn't great but at least it held some interest as a novelty.

For me it was more about how limited the economy became, one harvester per refinery meant that all economy based strategies disappeared.

...and the AI cheated in Skirmish. Yes it wasn't EA's finest hour, not that they have many these days:)
A very hard game to enjoy, and disappointing after the succesful and yet to be bested "C&C3".

reminds me of shogun total war oh the humanity on that one the AI cheated had huge armies while you had barely scrapping together what troops you can to defend lolz the game was too dependen on the trade routes you can capture tho still fun to play coop on shogun tho

however i prefer using darthmod which generally improved a lot of things in my opinion

i also hope they gonna lose that style of city management they adopted in Empire total war and bring back the ones from Medieval 2 and Rome total war which was more fun and their were a lot more varies of troops availeble

the problem with many rtses these days are that the AI is terrible and they try to change that with makign the AI cheat... theirs nothing to strategise on something that cheats i don't see the germans or the US cheat back at ww2 on their battles they had to do what they had and could get...

I'll bet, though the US and GB felt Germany had 'cheated' when the Ardennes Offensive opened with brand spanking new full Divisions of armour and infantry that weren't supposed to exist. But I digress.

I think there will be more RPG to "Rome 2" so who knows what city management will be like, as I believe it will be more family management and alliances that will be in play. But I digress again.

Back to "AC III" and Co-op....if you really want.
