A new rumor has strung that Popcap's mysterious new game will be a Plants vs. Zombies themed game. The more shocking part of the rumor: it will be an online first person shooter much like Team Fortress 2.


The rumor arises from an alleged Canadian industry source with ties to Electronic Art, claiming that a small team at EA's Burnaby campus comprised mostly of former members of EA's Black Box studio is working on the PvZ shooter, which would be released for consoles.

The project is allegedly in early production. Popcap refused to comment on the rumor.
