Bethesda has revealed on their blog the official system requirements for their upcoming first person stealth assassin game, Dishonored.

Minimum Specifications:

* OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7
* Processor: 3.0 GHz dual core or better
* Memory: 4 GB system RAM

Recommended Specifications:

* OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7
* Processor: 2.4 GHz quad core or better
* Memory: 4 GB system RAM
* Hard Disk Space: 9 GB
* Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible with 768 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)

Pretty low specs for most rigs. It'll be interesting so see how high the graphic options can be jacked up for the PC version, especially since the developer also brags that the game will be enhanced for 64-bit and multi-core systems.

Dishonored is due to be released this October 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Pretty standard console port requirements. As long as the game is fun to play it doesn't matter that much :).

Bragging is one thing Jonah, actually doing it is quite another.

Well, I hope this thing gets optimized nicely.

I also hope so. Seeing the specs, it shouldn't be any problem handling this game.

The latest add on on console port graphics differ quite much from a game that is made for higher graphics from the get-go than just added "fluff".
To be optimized with lower input is one thing - having the correct material to start - that's a different ball game.

However, as long as the graphics are smooth, and support the much needed FOV slider and plenty of options to tweak the settings to get a smooth experience - I'm fine. Graphics isn't everything, Crysis 2 made that very obvious - looked nice, but the gameplay suffered imo from it.
