Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be hitting Steam next week, and the Zombie Mod by Plaguefest will be available on day one.

According to the official CS:GO blog, "It was important to us as we developed CS:GO to make sure it was as moddable and extensible as any CS game. So this is just one of the many mods that will be available in the coming months."

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be released on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on the 21st August.

I have to say that the mods of CS:GO will be one of the major reasons for me buying this game. Not so impressed by CS:GO right now. It is OK - but I don't like the inventory wheel and some of the looks and feels and missing setups feel a bit console-itis - but still - it is only beta so for the actual release much may be fixed...

I'll give CS: GO a chance, but we will have to wait and see how much of a success it will be.

I think it will as a huge title and backed by many be rather big - but the competition is bigger as well so it may not reach the old glory---
