If your nostalgic for a bit of 1920's prohibition era USA then Haemimont Games' Omerta: City of Gangsters should be right up your alley, provided you like alleys filled with mobsters in flash suits.

The Tropico 3 & 4 developer now puts its talents behind the mob in a hybrid strategy game where combat is a turn-based tactical RPG affair, and empire management is real-time.

Players must run their own criminal empire balancing their resources as they slowly but surely expand their grip. Combat will feature cover and even stealth mechanics.

Omerta: City of Gangsters releases on Xbox 360 and PC November 9th. It's set in Atlantic City during the 1920's with income from all manner of enterprises like distilleries, speakeasies and the occasional armed bank robbery.

Seems interesting, I'll keep an eye on it for sure, a good gangster game is always welcome.

I agree Geisha, it does look interesting and it's a god choice for tyhe title. "Omerta" was (and still is) a sacred oath taken by familia members in Sicilian and mainland Italy. It is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago.
