Toy manufacturer Galt has taken a scientific survey to study the electronic gaming habits of children in the UK, as well as parental supervision. The survey questioned 2000 respondents.
The survey found that the average UK child spent 8.5 hours playing videogames per week, and spent 12 hours overall in front of a video screen in some fashion, whether playing games or just watching TV.
Parents, of course, stated that they'd like to see their kids playing non-electronic games - 64% of them, in fact. A sixth of the parents stated their kid is in constant possession of a games console. 12.5% of kids in the UK own an iPad.
In fact, the average about of electronics owned per kid is about £581 worth.
