Robot Entertainment has announced the first downloadable content pack for their third person shooter tower defense game, Orcs Must Die! 2. The DLC will include new traps, three brand new levels and three new Endless Mode conversions that can be played with single player or co-op.

The DLC also includes new enemies like the Fire Lords and the Fire Elementals which leave behind the explosive Firelings that track the player and detonate when near them. On the watery side, Water Lords and Water Elementals dwindle into pools of water when killed, but when Waterlings find the puddles, they’ll absorb it and turn into new Water Elementals.

The new traps include the Web Spinner which ensnares passing monsters in a sticky tangle of webs, the Ceiling Darts which fire deadly darts in every direction, and the Floor Portal, which teleports enemies back to the beginning of the level.

Finally, the game includes a new Skull bonus: if the player defeats the orc horde without using a single trap, a bonus skull is added to the end of the level rating.

The Fire & Water booster pack for Orcs Must Die! 2 will be available on Steam for $4.99 on the 29th August.

This game is freaking lovely. I only ended up playing this second installment of it. When I look at some trailers I feel like it sucks, usually no matter what I see. Any game. But at special boring times when I actually do go ahead and get something, often I find gems. Great game! Will prolly get this.

BUT BUT why the hell is it so difficult to get somebody else to play it with? There's that CREATE PARTY button that just hangs on "waiting for player...". And I never got to play it with anyone. When I click it, it connects me with Steam friends list. Do I first need to find friends that have this game in order to play it? WTF? COOP would be so damn god.
