Commander Shephard and the Normandy crew have a new dilemma in the run up to retake Earth as BioWare officially releases the Leviathan DLC, which is the first full single player add-on.

Until now only multiplayer content has been added with new maps and challenges. This new addition lets fans "really explore, discover and learn more" about the Mass Effect universe.

Aside from new story and action there are also two new additions to the armoury; AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus assault rifle. It adds more end-game dialog.

"Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Travel to new systems, wield the AT-12 Raider Shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle, and unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late," blurb BioWare.

We also get more of the Citadel to explore apparently. Leviathan is available to buy through Origin on PC for $10/£6. It's also available through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

No thanks for me. Saw it on YouTube, nothing interesting except for a few tidbits of lore

Yep, and from what I see they might release something like "origins of the crucible" dlc soon. But after the rumored Omega DLC... I'm not going to give them any more $$ though. Let them redeem themselves with DA3

Seriously, why is everyone spitting on Bioware so much?
The messed up DA2, yeah. But you're saying that Mass Effect 3 was crap. Bloody hell. The f*ck it was. The ending was sucky, sure, but gameplay-wise, ME3 was awesome. I enjoyed it. And I played all ME games to date on my PC. The whole series was great as far as I'm concerned and I finished the story to put all the pieces of the puzzle where they belong.
You don't judge the game by it's ending, do you?

Okay, so which parts of ME3 were cliche, exactly?
I've been reading SF for quite some time now and ME universe (story, also) is actually somewhat fresh.

Sooo, you hate Mass Effect 3 because of that running animation?
Perhaps you already wanted to hate it because everyone else hates it?
Please. I respect your taste of games, but you can't flame a game for being crap, if the game isn't crap.

And for God's sake, nobody said you need to "eat" everything. I play games primarily to experience something new, regardless of what the community says.
Your arguments are the same ones I've been seeing all over the EA/Bioware hater threads. So, either you all have exact same tastes and all that, or you read somebody else's opinion and grabbed the bandwagon. Which one is it?

Interesting Chosen, as having attempted "ME"(1) several times and losing interest constantly I wonder at how the second one that I've yet to play will be let alone the third. The movement mechanics, woeful minimap and endless sidequests with endless conversations just lost me I'm afarid. Too much time with too little to do, if you could of course find out exactly what and where you were supposed to be doing them. Easy to see why it was a hit at the time, but now? No thanks.

Too bad for the people who didn't play the series, your loss,as for the dlc it will probably be the last so enjoy it instead before you miss it all.
We are not all stuck in time as certain people are!

Oh that was a not so subtle dig, Heno. Way to make friends and influence people:)

Well, first game was good. Refreshment in SF games. Then came ME2, linear cover and shoot game with idiotic main story but good characters, we swallowed it. Gameplay has been watered down, crappy main quest ending with Reaper baby (If they had some different explanation for abductions, it would be better), but characters pulled it out. And then, for the great finale, you get ME3, a game that has almost no consequences from previous two, and if there are some, you don't get the feeling those were important. Even more watered down gameplay, fewer quests, disaster of main quest thruout game (Go and get the whole galaxy to help primitive Earth, like they have no problem of their own, and mind you, if you help some planet you don't defeat Reapers there but they come to fight on Earth nonetheless), total abolition of mini games, lore, codex (clusterf*cks and holes) and role play elements, CRAPPY UNUSED CHARACTERS!, and of course IDIOTIC ending and DLC money grabbing that cuts story in parts for you to buy. And cherry on top, they CHANGED and not EXTENDED the ending... so much about artistic integrity.

Franchise as a whole is decent, nothing more, nothing less, and that is because of ME2 and ME3... have they been better, franchise could have became legendary!

Haters gonna hate. I love the whole series, apart from the ending.
