Square-Enix has announced that Hitman: Blood Money has been added to the roster of free-to-play, browser-based games that are available on Core Online.

Core Online is an ad-supported service in which gamers can play full titles from their browser, earning time by watching commercials.

Square-Enix released a trailer showing just how the service works.

It depends on the game, if immersion is important this is useless but for quick arcade games this could work at least half decently.

And Blood Money is a game where you reaaally don't want any interruptions.

Yep, Hitman games are one of those where this service simply can't work, at least not in this form. They could have made it game specific, something like watching an ad before every mission and not every 10 minutes, that would at least be bearable.

Exactly. Blood Money can be bought for a couple of bucks at most stores, so resorting to this is kinda... well... you know. Not the best move.

Ditto with above. It's cheap as chips to buy a retauil copy in the store. Gamefly, what was once Direct2Drive offer a similar service for a nominal fee....no ads.
