Trine 2: Goblin Menace gets 6th September release date

Frozenbyte has announced the release date for the expansion Trine 2: Goblin Menace. The expansion, which features an all-new campaign with six levels and new skills that can be used with the original game, will be available on the 6th September with a $7.99/6.99 EUR price tag.

Trine 2 has also been given a 2 GB patch in preparation for the expansion, so that the original game will compatible with the expansion for multiplayer.

Finally, the Trine 2: Collector's Edition owners on Steam will get taccess to a beta version of the expansion, including the first 2 levels. The beta will end after the game's release on the 6th.

Basically, it installed the expansion but left it locked. It's so you can co-op with people who have the expansion without owning it.

Seeing that only one person needs the expansion is brilliant, I really love that part :).
