IO Interactive has responded to the call of fans by ensuring Hitman: Absolution's Purist Mode will be available to play straight away.

As we can see from the studio's official forums, a number of players want to experience the hardcore mode on the first playthrough. This removes assists, including all visual cues and detection meters, to leave a much tougher campaign.

"It seems voicing your concern helps from time to time," commented Eidos.

"I've just heard back from the team that purist mode is now designed to be unlocked from the get go. now, unless something critical happens, I feel confident that you can all get your butts handed to you from the first playthrough."

Hitman: Absolution will sneak into shops on November 20th for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Good news, I never understood why this kind of modes are locked so often in the first place.

Finally some gun based assassinations, burnt out on Assassins Creed, but i mean the third one looks good, but id rather get Hitman instead

I tried one Hitman game back in the days and didn't really like it that much - this one could possibly be one for me..
