Sony still trying to bring Skyrim DLC to PS3

The major Dawnguard downloadable content pack still has not been released for the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyim. Its release had become doubtful when Bethesda stated that thanks to the PS3's architecture, Dawnguard and future DLC might never happen for the console.

That's not to say Sony and Bethesda have given up.

According to Sony VP Adam Boyes on the subject, "We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda—and with all of our partners—to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way. Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone."

However, Boyes undercut the optimism with a telling addendum, stating, "I can't promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working."

Dawnguard may eventually come to Skyrim, but it seems like it'll most likely be part of a Skyrim "Game of the Year" Edition rather than as DLC.

I'm getting some schadenfreude here.

This, Sony, is what you get when you deliberately make it difficult to port games to your console.

Larfing my arse off!
