NCsoft are proud to announce today that its recently released massively multiplayer online sequel, Guild Wars 2, has sold more than two million units. Although the developer was forced to temporarily halt first-party sales and replenish retail stores to maintain an optimal player experience, it hasn't stopped Guild Wars 2 from reaching this milestone.

Guild Wars 2 was released just over two weeks ago and is already enjoying a concurrent user-rate of 400,000 players.

"Reactions from around the world justified the time and care we put into developing Guild Wars 2 and making it into the game it is today," said Mike O'Brien, president and co-founder of ArenaNet. "And this is only the beginning. We're continually fine-tuning the game to deliver the polished experience that our players expect, and we’re already working on new adventures and experiences to introduce into this truly dynamic online world."

Our review for Guild Wars 2 went online yesterday, with a high score of 9.5/10. You can read that here.

My son who's away at Uni is chomping at the bit to buy this game. Issues aside, I still think it is the best MMO at present.

I thik that this game actaully became too large in a real scale. Diablo 3 should have expected it, but Guild Wars 2 was a shitstorm of users.
Still, not good enough to not have support answering you though!

Between the first GW and WoW, I had to pick WoW... but now I actually believe that WoW is going to have their asses kicked for a change.

I actually want to see GW2 dominating WoW. I am not a major fan of MMORPG' but I am willing to give GW2 a chance as it looks like a whole lot of fun.
