Unbelievable! Uber Entertainment's Planetary Annihilation Kickstarter campaign is nearly over and they've managed to raise over $2 million, securing another stretch goal for an orchestral score.

In fact they're just under $50k away from their absolute final milestone of $2.1 million for a documentary on the making of Planetary Annihilation. 8 hours remain on the clock as of press time.

Over 41,000 backers have pledged over $2.05 million to the ambitious real-time strategy game all about conquering and annihilating the cosmos planet by planet.

A new update has been posted by Uber revealing a few last minute reward tiers which include a $140 (digital only) option, the RTS game loaded on a USB key and some new 'awesome' t-shirts. The studio has also invited everyone to watch the "clock wind down on our Kickstarter" and catch the team on a live Twitch.tv stream.

Balls, I continually underestimated the people's willingness to give them more money! Well done people!

This is the goal that really finishes it, a full orchestral score will do a TON for the game's overall experience.
