What's Lionhead Studios' latest work like? Well now you can have a taste as Fable: The Journey is available in demo form at 1.22GB. Gold subscribers get exclusive first access.
The game was "built from the ground up for Kinect" where we play someone not of the same Hero bloodline in the previous Fable instalments. This is for "a serious gamer" who'd like to try Kinect.
The Fable creator is keen to affirm that The Journey isn't some 'stand around and flap your arms' Kinect kiddie game, but something much more. It's designed for "serious" gamers, not casual.
"Built from the ground up for Kinect for Xbox 360, Fable: The Journey is a whole new way to experience the deep storyline, heart-pounding action, and picturesque world of Albion that fans have come to know and love in the beloved Fable franchise," blurbs Microsoft. Fable fans have been a little apprehensive over this spin-off.
In the early days the studio apologised for communicating so poorly what it was and desperate to dispel the notion it was just an on-rails shooter for Kinect. "If you own a Kinect - or are planning on buying one in the near future - and you are a serious gamer who doesn't want to jump around their living room, then this is the game to look out for."
Fable: The Journey releases on Xbox 360 October 9th.
