CastleMiner Z has usurped FortressCraft as the best selling Xbox Live Indie Game, having sold over 1M units since its release last November 2011.

The game resembles Minecraft, and has some elements of crafting, but it's more action oriented as players use their Xbox Live Avatar to craft weapons like swords and guns to fight creatures in a Minecraft-style open world.

Developer DigitalDNA also stated that CastleMiner Z, which costs a mere 80 Microsoft Points ($1.00 USD), was the daily best-selling game for an astounding 10 straight months.
