Back in July, Starbreeze promised that their new IP, codenamed "P13", would "deliver something unique and new to the table." The developer has finally revealed the game, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

The game is a third person action-adventure for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC. According to the game's description, "A man, clinging to life. His two sons, desperate to cure their ailing father, are left with but one option. They must set out upon a journey to find and bring back the "Water of Life” as they come to rely on one another to survive. One must be strong where the other is weak, brave where the other is fearful, they must be... Brothers."

The screenshots depict one blond boy and one dark-haired boy, which seems to indicate they might be half-brothers from the same father. Judging by the lush autumnal landscapes, the game will focus on exploration and discovery.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, which is being published by 505 Games, will be released sometime in the Spring 2013.
