Playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam? Valve has released two new maps, one of which includes changes to the game's Classic Competitive matchmaking system.

Vertigo returns from the original CS, and the other map is called Monastery. A full list of updates can be found here.

Classic Competitive now works on a queue-based system rather than letting players join during a game's progress. If you quit a CC match you will now be penalised and locked out of the mode for half an hour.

More information can be found on the title's blog.

I play a few rounds every now and then - but can't say that I'm, in the long run, is overly impressed. This is a console friendsy version that plays and feels a bit stilted design ways compared with the earlier versions...
That you can't set it up as you want is the biggest draw back for me. I can't setup private server mode for offline play and decide how many rounds, map swapping - it goes into 1 of four set gameplays and your stuck with a map.

it lacks functions and setup that PC gamers are used to.
