Sony Online Entertainment has revealed a new trailer showing off the wintry continent of Esamir for PlanetSide 2.

The extreme cold weather actually changes some of the game's parameters. For example, shield generators won't be disabled as easily, so players will have to engage an overload process to secure victory. "Additionally, soldiers will have new certifications to handle vehicles and weapons better, along with new sidegrades (LMGs, Carbines, Assault/Sniper Rifles) for each empire," states the press release.
