Hawken closed beta starting 26th October

While MechWarrior Online has been in the news a lot lately, Adhesive Games' own mech title Hawken will be going into closed beta on the 26th October.

Hawken is more of a shooter than MechWarrior Online is, with more traditional FPS controls.

The game is due to be released on the 12th December on PC. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases are unknown at this point.

Calling this a mech game feels a bit wrong, it's just a regular FPS with mech skins, it only has the looks when it comes to being a mech game. And there's nothing wrong with that, it just irks me just a little bit when it gets referred to as a mech game.
