Borderlands 2 has shifted impressive numbers in the US. New figures suggest 1.4 million console copies have moved since release.

The number doesn't include digital downloads through Steam or PSN.

Gearbox Interactive's game was estimated to sell around 3 million worldwide. If these numbers are anything to go by, it is well on the way to doing that.
