Favela map returns to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 after offensive imagery is removed

A 17MB PS3 update has re-added the Favela map to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The map was removed after religious imagery placed above a toilet offended a section of Muslim gamers.

Here's a look at the edited image:



"Activision and our development studios are respectful of diverse cultures and religious beliefs, and sensitive to concerns raised by its loyal game players," Acti said in a statement. "We thank our fans for bringing this to our attention."

Nice to see that one cleared up.

I could care less. Even if there were more specific items on it than just some image that is perceived as offensive.
