Major Nelson revealed in his blog that for the first time in Xbox Live's history, the most played Xbox Live game is not a shooter, but a strange strategy/simulation MMO played with LEGO-style blocks. In a case of the little indie game that could, Xbox Live Arcade title Minecraft surpassed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in the top spot.

For the week of the 15th October, the most played games on Xbox Live included:

1. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
3. EA Sports FIFA Soccer 13
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops
5. Borderlands 2
6. Halo: Reach
7. Battlefield 3
8. Modern Warfare 2
9. Madden NFL 13
10. NBA 2K13

In the rest of the list, Microsoft's free-to-play action-MMO, Happy Wars landed in #11, followed by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Gears of War 3.

Heno, you have no idea what you're missing. The way it looks has absolutely nothing to do with how wonderful of a game it is. Especially with the Tekkit mods.

If you really get put off by the low level graphs, I'd recommend one of the many many texture packs that make it look quite a bit better.
