Hotline Miami 'in talks' for PlayStation release

The neon-lit ultra-violence of top-down shooter Hotline Miami from indie creator Jonatan Soderstrom could very well hit the PlayStation Store in the future, as he's "been talking to Sony" about it.

However he'd "need someone to port it" for PlayStation Vita. The indie action shooter has us massacre our way through bad guys indiscriminately. It's riding in the high 80's on metacritic.

Such a port to a PlayStation platform won't be happening anytime soon as Soderstrom says they'd need a knowledgable developer to handle the duties for them.

"Would be interesting to see if it was possible to get it to play well on a touchscreen device," Söderström says, like on iPad or an Android powered tablet. "Sounds like a challenge." Hotline Miami is available right now on PC through Steam for £6.99. It's critical reception is rather high with 87 on it's metacritic profile.

Fun game, but please don't even bother with a touchscreen version. A shooter is actually close to impossible to play, let alone Hotline Miami.

I do approve of console and handheld versions.
