Deep Silver has announced that the open world zombie apocalypse RPG sequel Dead Island: Riptide will be launching on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 23rd April in the US, and the 26th April in the UK and Europe.


The publisher also revealed that gamers who pre-order the game will get an exclusive weapon pack DLC, while the Special Edition will automatically include the DLC as well as an exclusive character skin.

Riptide follows the original four characters after their failed rescue, and will feature an advanced weather system and will read old save files to import the data from the original Dead Island.
