Report: Mass Effect 2 discs masquerade as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

According to a number of gamers, a manufacturing snafu has led to a small number of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 discs actually being stamped with BioWare's Mass Effect 2. It's those bloody Reapers.

The second disc for PC Black Ops 2, while clearly labelled as being the Treyarch shooter, is in fact the second disc for Mass Effect 2. Fortunately the Steam codes resolve the issue.

It certainly sucks for those with less than stellar Internet but at least the game can be downloaded once the Steam key is attached to an account. Naturally people are upset.

"It’s a COD BO2 disc face, but it’s been mastered with Disc 2 from Mass Effect 2. So f***ing glad I stood in the freezing cold at midnight to get this on release day. FAIL," posted one gamer on the Call of Duty community forum. If EA can't have the first-person shooter crown returned with Warfighter, then they'll sick those Reapers on you, Activision.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC today.

If one thing COD games are good at it's that over the top feeling their campaigns have :).
But just that short campaign is not worth the full price for me.

Don't stand in the cold at midnight for a mediocre game, problem fixed. How can you complain about getting half of a far superior game? ;)

Lol, that's true :)

But it's quite weird that ME2 discs got mixed in and not ME3's or from some other newer game.

Snap! What an embarrassing stuff-up.
As an apology those affected should get "ME 2" for free, if not "ME 3".
