Santa Monica Studios aren't wasting time with PlayStation Al-Stars Battle Royale. In the wake of the game going gold, the developer has announced two free DLC characters for players to enjoy.

Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmett Graves from Starhawk will join the line-up. Both will utilise attack styles from their games, including aerial assaults from Kat and Emmett's reliance on help from the sky.

The additional characters are available for free across a two week period. Players who download them within the two weeks will be able to use them for free, forever.

No specific date has been given for Kat and Emmett's release. They will appear alongside each other early next year.
