Chris Roberts' return to space combat sims, Star Citizen, has become the biggest backed crowdfunding videogame project in the service's history, passing the $4.5M stretch goal with 26 hours left as of the time of this writing, $1.6M of the funding was via Kickstarter. Passing the $4.5M mark added a new space station and a new alien race. If the project can reach the $5M and $5.5M stretch goals in the next day, Roberts will get a tablet companion app and a new celebrity voice actor who previously acted for Wing Commander. (This could be Mark Hamill, Freddy Prinze, Matthew Lillard, John Rhys-Davies, Thomas F. Wilson, and so on.) At $5.5M, the largest playable ship, the Bengal Carrier.
