Nuketown 2525 being pulled from almost all Black Ops 2 multiplayer modes

Gamers who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are upset as Activision has pulled the special pre-order content Nuketown 2025 map from almost all of the multiplayer modes in the game.

Black Ops 2 design director David Vonderhaar confirmed this in an apologetic tweet, "Double XP weekend is official over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger."

Vonderhaff did suggest in another tweet, "Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games."

This is cold comfort, however, as Custom Games are seldom used in Black Ops 2 due to the fact they're unranked.

Activision only stated that the publisher was "checking into" the situation. Stay tuned.

It sounds to me like there's exploits on the map and they're pulling it from the general map roster til the exploits are fixed.

Not cool, they need to fix it fast and compensate affected people with some in game bonuses. You CANT pull a pre-order bonus from the game and expect people to be OK with it. If it was just a regular map that's one thing but this is clearly different.

Back for special events? That's nothing more than an insult.

I hated that map in the original, as all it is is a complete spamfest with no cover, no tactics just raw run'n'gun. Good for DoubleXP (which is all anyone played on DoubleXP w/e before) but that's it.
With the likely backlash from fans, Acti might just have to back down from this.
