Blizzard seek to wrestle control of 'Heroes of Warcraft' domain

Warcraft creators Blizzard Entertainment aren't happy that the domain HeroesofWarcraft.com is currently outside their control. Last month the studio registered WarcraftBattles.com for some reason.

Speculation has the studio looking to revive the iconic PC RTS series Warcraft. Blizzard has filed a complaint with the National Arbitration Forum in an attempt to be 'given' the domain.

If successful this mean the studio avoids having to pay a hefty wad of cash. It seems the current owner resides within the United Kingdom. Will Blizzard use the domain?

Heroes of Warcraft was the originally intended name for Warcraft III, which eventually became Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. In order to be awarded the rights to the domain Blizzard must satisfy three criteria, reports Fusible:

(1) that the disputed domain name registered by the Respondent is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the Complainant has rights; and

(2) that the Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the disputed domain name; and

(3) that the disputed domain name has been registered and is being used in bad faith

Blizzard's case number with the National Arbitration Forum is 1470639.

They kinda have a case here since that was supposed to be the name of their game, unless the domain was registered independently before that name became public knowledge.
But I still have to wonder why wait this long?
