PlanetSide 2 plagued by G37 login error
Posted: 21.11.2012 18:51 by Comments: 8
In the last 24 hours since the game launched, many PlanetSide 2 users have been blocked from playing the free-to-play MMOFPS.

In their cases, whether launching from the Launchpad or Steam, they'd get either 15% or 98% loaded, before the game crashes and the players are treated to this page.

Naturally, complaints have arisen on the official forum. The developers have given a few reasons for the issue, including low system specs and firewall issues, but users state that those weren't reasons for crashing. (Some even claimed turning on the firewall helped with the issue.)

What's odd is that G37 is a "server down" error - and servers are not down.

Stay tuned.

How's the f2p effecting this one, anything to worry about?

Sort of on the edge between WoT and Blacklight. Mid range, could be better. It's easier for paying members to get vehicles (due to the cost of said vehicles in game) and such but everythign seems to be available to the F2P players. Just need a bit more time to unlock stuff.

I don't know what happened but I used the same info to create the account one more time and now I can finally login to the game BUT -> error G37 :(

As long as it only takes extra time that's not such an issue. If i end up liking the game i'm not against even paying a bit, I probably spent around 100€ on Lotro by now, same for WoT.

Almost took the plunge and downloaded this....glad I held off. Might wait for my new modem and stronger connection that comes with it, then this might be in working order.
