City Interactive shows off CryEngine 3-powered Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2

What the heck does City Interactive's Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 look like powered by Crytek's Cry Engine 3? Well, the studio has released some gameplay footage to get your long-range rifle cocked.

If you read into that anymore than what the words literally mean - you've got issues. There's knife murderin', cheesy quips, infrared reapin' and melon splittin'. People die a lot, basically.

There's even a bullet-time close-up as a shot parks itself into a guy's cranium. Soldier's often complain of out-of-body experiences as they 'follow' their bullets to a target; trippy.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC January 15th in the US, 18th in EU.

Looks interesting since I like stealth games but it would not hurt if the enemy snipers at least tried to shoot back.

Looks good, but will it deliver on what the first title promised and failed to realise - a strong Sniper SP campaign and a robust MP.

This could be City's breaktrough after all those B game titles on Pc.
