Tomb Raider "12 to 15" hours long "depending on your play style"

Crystal Dynamics' reboot of Tomb Raider is worth over half a day in terms of length, although that is "depending on your play style" with the new Lara Croft, said global brand manager Karl Stewart.

This little bit of info came from a Q&A session via the official Tomb Raider twitter. Lara will have regenerative health on her island adventure, and while she can swim she won't be in this title.

Stewart also promises us "plenty of twists" in the story for poor shipwrecked Lara. Crystal will also be talking about "tons" of side stories and tasks this December.

Love it or hate it but health is going to regenerate, tweeted Stewart, so there's "no need for items." Tomb Raider is not due until spring next year but already the pre-order incentives and special editions are being rolled out. There's a Survivor and Collector's Edition offering various physical bribes.

Tomb Raider releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 5th, 2013.

I have made peace with the Life Regeneration thing. In some games it is great, but others I don't think so... it at times makes it feel like the game is easier. For Tomb Raider, I don't think it is a good idea, but I am willing to try it, maybe it will work out just great.

15 hours of story time sounds great... but depending on how I play could mean shorter than 15 hours or longer than 15 hours?

The chances of me preordering something again in the future is quite low now. I love Collector's Editions, but seriously the game needs to be super special before I preorder again.
