Godus, Peter Molyneux's followup to his classic god game Populous, has reached 1/3 of its goal with 24 days to go, and the famed developer has released the first dev diary for the game.

The dev diary features Molyneux discussing the game design goals for his new sim with young game designer Jack Attridge, who was hired this year to work at Molyneux's company 22Cans; this was his first hiring in the videogame industry.

NOt so much lying as unchecked optimism I think TBH ^^

Still though, don't believe a word of what he says!

It's not lying if you actually believe it :).
It's difficult to dislike this guy, he's way too positive and optimistic for that.

I personally do not hate him, I like his games. Black and White 2 was the best of all...oh, ok Fable 2 was awesome too.

Black and White 1 was knocked my bloody socks off! The second is good, but suffers a bit more from Molyeux's trademark flaw, lots of development directions, but not enough executed to the fullest. It's spread a bit thin and feels less like a full experience, a bit shallow.

Lying or optmistic - he has failed to deliver more than once too many.
Still, he seems to be a friendly soul that takes the day with a storm - unfortunately when you have to deliver on things - you need to keep a fine line to not build up expectations.

Trust him? How far can I lift him up and throw him? Roughly the same. Still this is one of the persons in gaming I would like to meet and chat with.
