Leaderboard resets plaguing Black Ops 2

Some gamers have found that to their shock and anger that they have lost days of progress in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 as their stats were reset on the leaderboards.

According to one irate fan, “I've personally got two days of play time that's been wiped and it's not the fact of my place on the leaderboards but now all the battling with my friends has been for nothing." Other fans have similarly weighed in on the official forum.

It seems that the issue is server side, while Treyarch has fully acknowledged the problem, and are promising that they're fixing it, telling players to "Stand by".

This is basically like losing a savegame, annoying as hell.
I'd prefer it if there wasn't any leveling in a frigging FPS in the first place so if this had happened to me I'd be doubly pi**ed.
