Trion Worlds has announced that the open beta for End of Nations would be delayed "indefinitely". This comes after their latest round of closed beta testing.

The publisher announced the news on their Facebook page, stating, "While we received an incredible amount of positive feedback, the closed beta tests also identified several key areas of the game which need polish and improvement.

“As a result, we have decided to postpone the Open Beta phase of testing until further notice.”

End of Nations
is a massively multiplayer real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph, which promises to have dozens of players warring in teams on a single battlefield at a time. Our latest preview was written during E3 this past year. Read it here.

I wish MechWarrior Online guys did the same, the game went into open beta way too soon.
No matchmaker, lag shield, no knockdown when you hit into someone, no tutorials for the new players, no ability to modify the free trial mechs.

It's still a good game, but it's simply not ready for launch, a beta where people spend money is still a launch no matter how many times you call it a beta.

I can only wonder how many people were driven away due to poor first impressions.

I hope you'll give it another chance in a few months :).

The pew pew is already great, the game just isn't polished yet as a whole. I'm sure they're going to do something about the new player experience as well, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot quite badly otherwise.

Yech, I can wait. Too busy with the closed beta for "Sins Of A Dark Age" anyway.

And I bloody LOVE Mechwarrior. It was completely opaque as to what I could and was expected to do, I was just fumbling about.
