That means you don't need to try and hunt down that 1996 disc of the original MS-DOS running Tomb Raider. We can take on dinosaurs, mansion training courses and the end of world digitally. By Square's own admission fans of the series have had to make do with "a half-complete collection" with Anniversary, Legend and Underworld the only titles on Steam. Now we can finally have the entire catalogue available to us in modern times, where those round flat things with a hole are shunned in favour of digital downloads. This means that Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2, Tomb Raider 3, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (IV), Tomb Raider: Chronicles (V) and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness are on Steam. "Lara Croft's humble beginnings drew us into her epic adventure to recover a mysterious artefact from the lost tomb of Qualopec. With a ground-breaking blend of 3D exploration, puzzles and platform elements, we witnessed the birth of one of the most iconic heroines of all time, which set a precedent for many different games to come," blogged Square. Tomb Raider releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 5th, 2013. Careful, those pixels look sharp. Source: Square Enix | |
