Came out on the 2nd Dec. I saw it in the Steam store for $19.99 but resisted the urge to buy. Glad I did as I picked up the "The Sword of the Stars - Complete Package" ("SotS Collection" + "SotS II EE") for $7.49 from Gamersgate yesterday on their Daily Sale. Tidy little saving for both titles.

Yes I already had the original without the expansions, courtesy of the PI newsletter. This deal was too good to pass up with loads of hours to whittle away. Now I just need a "75% Off Sale" for "Endless Space", Space Emperor Edition. P'raps the Christmas hols sales.

Sots 2 require more time for me to adjust on + my 4y old pc can't handle the game quite well yet likely due to some game engine performance issues and the age of this one however i should have a new/better one at the end of the year

Might still be a bit too soon for a 75% off for Endless Space :)
50% was already decent enough during this weekend.

I wish this game really was 20$, it's 20€ for EU :(.

Gamersgate had it at 75% off (the Admiral Edition) a while back with Steam offering 66% off the upgrade to the Emperor Edition at the same time. Was supposed to be available for 12 hours but disappeared after three...someone made a mistake. Then again GMG will come up with something for Chrissie, I have no doubt.
Always pays to shop around:)

Damn, I should have waited :)
I wasn't expecting it to go for so little so soon.

Looking around for discounts on games is useful; you never know what you'll find. Steam often has a lot of good deals.

Well I bought it now, figured it ought to be up to snuff by now...and frankly I admire their perseverance with the title

I haven't tried this one.. any any of the new space 4x, really. I still play MOO2 occasionally. I got Galactic Civs II, but I'm not a huge fan honestly - not enough combat. I think the invasion techs add a big barrier to conquest playstyle.

I'd heard that SotS2 was buggy? Might have to check it out.

It's very stable, with a new free expansion pack, and also quite combat-focused as is "SoaSE: Rebellion" (which is more RTS than 4X). Playing the "Battlestar Galactica" mod for the latter at them moment ("Sins Of The Fallen: The Fall of Kobol").

"Masters of Orion" 1& 2 have just been released on GOG.com of you're interested ($4.99 for the two of them).
I just picked up "Endless Space" for 50% off on GreenManGaming and added the 30% OFF Voucher to the total bringing it down even further. I pay, get my Steam code and away we go....

Now you're just bragging :)

A great deal for those that don't have the game.

Just subscribe to their newsletter and you get these great Voucher Codes sent to you, if you miss them on the site. Often much cheaper than Steam, even if it's a Steam-linked game you're buying. Got the DLC for "Naval War Arctic Circle" for 35% less as well, not that that's anything to brag about (submitted a ticket to PI about the dreadful state of that game and got a very welcome and rewarding response:D).

i own that MOO1&2 from gog.com also took the chance for paraoh+expansion and master of olympus zeus+expansion

a bit annoying i had to rebuy master of olympus due to the annoying fact of win7 not running my stuff anymore

can't get a hold on paraoh too tho lol its a good game but i lack the skills on how the city works in that game its a bit diffrent then in master of olympus

i also am hoping that they get Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom when im able to get that one should have the entire collection from Ceasar to master of olympus :P

(actually already own the box of Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom but can't get it to work on my win7 anymore)

If you go to the Forums, I think it is, there is a place when you can request games or if they are already there add your vote. The one I'm really after is "Emperor: Battle For Dune" and by the number of votes for this so are a quite a few others. Wouldn't mind "Freelancer" and "Starlancer" as well, if M$ ever let go of the copyright.
As for "Pharaoh", I remember playing the demo way back when. My problem was the Nile kept flooding too quickly and too often...durpty-durp:)
