Developer thatgamecompany's evocative adventure Journey has a new honor awaiting it: the game has been nominated for a Grammy for it's soundtrack, authored by composer Austin Wintory.

The nomination is in the Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media category, competing with The Adventures Of Tintin – The Secret Of The Unicorn, The Artist, The Dark Knight Rises, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Hugo.

Last year, Christopher Tin won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s), for the song "Baba Yet" from Civilization IV. It was the first time a videogame earned a Grammy.

The 55th Grammy Aawards are due to be televised on the 10th February 2013.

Rightfully so too. An excellent and emotive little game.

For some odd reason, that picture reminds me of the desert in Zelda: Ocarina of Time. More specifically, the part where you have to follow the flagposts before then needing the Lens of Truth

Very true. Speaking of which, despite having beaten the game before, I find myself stuck in the Light Temple. The part where you have to get all the silver rupees but there are two in the corner of the room. For some reason, I can't get them with my boomerang and I'm thinking either my angle is wrong, or there's another way to do it and I just can't remember. I hope it's the latter, but I expect it to be the former. They say practice makes perfect, but really, perfect practice makes perfect. Currently, I practice like shit because I don't come close.
